An interview with Mathieu, a Product Manager for the stand-up paddleboard family

Who are you?

"I am passionate about outdoor sports and I have dreamed about designing sports products (mostly in the surf sports department) since I was very young. I always love taking on challenges, all the more when they are carried out as a team. For example, in 2015 I had the opportunity to take part in the trio that created the brand ITIWIT, which has since proved to have been a rich and educational life experience. I would sign up again tomorrow for equally ambitious projects and would be happy to share my experience"

What do you do at itiwit?

"I am the Product Manager for SUP surfing, racing, paddles and recently foiling. I come up with and oversee the range. My role is to listen to the users and come up with future products."

What do you like about stand-up paddleboarding?

"I love being in contact with the water; paddle sports offer extraordinary feelings of freedom and gliding. When I practise, I am in the heart of nature. I feel in total harmony even in bad weather!"

Your fondest memories

"There are lots on the SUPs and in the Kayaks: the whole of the 350 km Dordogne race, the Nautic, the Tawara, the stand-up paddleboarding surf trip to Taiwan, the Mascaret de Saint Pardon, etc. but I think the most beautiful was Hendaye <=> Mundaka, alone.
Generally the annual MISSION TEST is a unique experience for the whole team, which itself is an extraordinary memory."
