For the right equipment for stand up paddling or kayaking in winter or at mid-season
In mid-season, it is impossible to go stand up paddling or kayaking in a boardshort. You need some basic equipment in case if you fall in the water. You can be easily exposed to the cold, wind and rain.
So in addition to my buoyancy aid, I need materials that remain warm even when wet, such as the neoprene wetsuit and a thermal top. The properties of neoprene will retain my body heat.
In winter, I also get a windproof, watertight hood, which will protect me from both rain and wind. The hood will also protect my head without obstructing my vision.
And I also get myself neoprene slippers that are resistant to abrasion and provide thermal comfort.
