An interview with Cyril, Commercial Director for stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking

Who are you?

"I’ve been passionate about watersports for as long as I can remember, bodyboarding, surfing, sailing. I discovered stand-up paddleboarding in the south of France, in Perpignan, at the Bay of Collioure at sunset, an unforgettable memory. Since 2010, I have been working for Decathlon, where I have been able to take on many roles, from Head of Department to Store Director. I worked in Communications for Decathlon France in Lille, before having the opportunity to join the Itiwit team digitally in 2017. It’s always a pleasure to work at the Hendaye Watersports Centre with a dream team."   

What do you do at itiwit?

"As Sales Director, I am responsible for the proper implantation of the Itiwit brand within the Decathlon stores. I am also working on the marketing aspects and on the communication of our products."

What do you like about stand-up paddleboarding?

"I love all the possibilities offered by SUP: touring, racing, surfing. Depending on the weather, at Hendaye, it’s possible to vary your activity. When on the water, you’re able to disconnect quickly. This feeling of changing perspective and escaping on the water is extraordinary. Every day, we discover new landscapes and places."

Your fondest memories

"Racing along the whole 350 km Dordogne as a team on a tandem stand-up paddleboard, a beautiful story and a great podium position.
